WORK EXPERIENCE
CCM Marketing Communications, Intern, Summer 2006 Worked as an assistant to the creative director of the advertising agency that specializes in alternative media. Worked on accounts such as Consumer Reports, Daily’s Drink Mixes, Marriott Marquis, and Dr. McGillicuddy’s schnapps. Wrote copy for print ads, sat in on creative meetings, and created copy concepts.

Nickelodeon Jr. Magazine, Intern, Summer 2005 Assisted in the marketing and editorial departments. Tasks included fact-checking, brainstorming themes for each issue in creative meetings, attending photo shoots, and writing sidebars that appeared in the magazine.

Sales Specialist, part-time, Sept. 2003-August, 2004 and 2004-06 school breaks Try & Buy Toy Stores, Pleasantville, NY Handled retail relations with customers in boutique toy store. Worked on store design, assisted in computerizing store inventory, gift wrapping and operating POS terminal.

Promotions and Fundraising Officer, part-time, Sept. 2000-2004 Congregation Sons of Israel, Briarcliff Manor, NY Manage team of students to assist school office manager. Tasks included organizing charity events, including a two Battle of the Bands events that raised over $2,000 each, membership drives, and promoting events. Responsibilities also included organizing mailings, photocopying and answering phones.

Conference and Project Coordinator, part-time June 1998-2004 MasterFit Enterprises, Briarcliff Manor, NY Coordinate team of high school students to produce packaging for manufacturing operation. Job includes tracking and mandatory inventory of materials and arranging work flow to maximize efficiency. Created the POP display to be used in retail stores throughout the country.
