Megan Krzyske is a junior in Ithaca College's Park School of Communications as an Integrated Marketing Communications major. After graduation, Megan hopes to go into the field of Advertising, starting out either in Detroit or Chicago while attending graduate school to get her Master's Degree.
As a freshman, Megan became involved in ICTV's production of Hollywood 101 as a production assistant and has since moved up to occupy the positions of Marketing Director and Senior Producer. Hollywood 101 is ICTV's longest-running field shot sitcom, shooting a total of 4 seasons, about an office full of misfits in Los Angeles. Recently, the show wrapped with an hour-long special which features an extra-long episode and a mini-mockumentary about the actors and life on the set.
Megan started working for Ithaca College's award-winning newspaper The Ithacan in the Copywriting section as a freshman. At the start of sophomore year, she moved to the Advertising section, becoming a Sales Representative. She sought out many clients, working with them to display their ads in the paper and even designing a few of the ads for customers that didn't already have one prepared. Megan has loved working in that section and continued to do so even after she became the Classifieds Manager during her junior year. Classifieds weren't quite as fun as Advertising, but it has provided her with a great opportunity to work on different aspects of the paper's production, an experience she is thankful for.
This upcoming Spring semester, Megan will be studying abroad with the IC London Program, living and learning in London for 4 months. She is excited about this trip and plans to blog her experiences preparing for and once she is actually living abroad. When she returns in May, Megan hopes to intern over the summer at an advertising agency in Michigan.
